First let me say this …what you get here is my own thoughts, beliefs, convictions and opinion.

Rest assured that nothing here is meant to criticize, condemn or in any way put anyone down ..everyone is freely entitled to their own opinion. 

There Is Still HOPE.. No Matter What

There is still HOPE.. there always is . No matter what the circumstance, no matter what situation we find ourselves in .. no matter how dark it seems, no matter if you can’t see a way out right now.. hold on .. do not give in ..and do not give up.. it’s only a temporary situation.

” And it shall come to pass, that whoever ( you and I ) calls upon the name of The Lord..shall  be saved”  The book of Acts Chapter 2 verse 21

The Good News

God is not angry with you .. He loves you ..unconditionally..

The Bible..God’s Love letter to us is called The Gospel which is transalated ” Good News ”

Isn’t it refreshing to hear Good News in a world that seems to be filled with nothing but bad news.?

With all the noise and information that bombards us every day, we may hear those voices yet still miss the most important voice of all…God’s voice!  He speaks to us through His Word .. The Bible, so lets learn to turn off the television, cell phone, social media and all other distractions… be still for a moment. .and listen.. you will hear His voice.

Why I Wrote This Blog.. My Story

I’ve been blessed to be on this earth for 67 years.

I’ve have had many life changing experiences , both in the valley and on the mountain top, and I’d like to share some of  these first hand life experiences with you…

As a teenager growing up in the West Indies, I picked up the habit of  “swearing ” also known as ” cussing” ..  it was really bad , actually  .. it was “out of control”..so much so that when I came to Canada it seemed to get worse.

When I made the decision to surrender my life to Christ .. the very moment I did… I literally felt like a hand go down my throat and pull something out..and I have never spoken a swear or cuss word ever since..not even once..and that was in 1982 ..forty years ago .. praise God for His unfailing Goodness and Grace. 

Many people have shared their life experiences with me, and some have most definately left a lasting impression in my heart that has set me on higher ground.

It is my sincere prayer that these words will encourage, strenghten and uplift you..but most of all, that the Love of God and the great gift of His Son Jesus Christ will fill your heart with Hope.. There Is still Hope. 

I Did It 

Of all I’ve done..my greatest decision was surrendering my life to the Lordship and love of Jesus Christ!

My life has never been the same, and in spite of much hardship and tribulations.. Jesus has always been there for me.. even when I went off on my own and ignored God..He never left me.

” Let your character ..your moral essence, your inner nature.. be free from the love of money.. shun greed..be financially ethical.., being content with what you have; for He ..Jesus.. has said, “I will never.. under any circumstances.. desert you ..nor give you up nor leave you without support, nor will I in any degree leave you helpless, nor will I forsake or let you down or relax My hold on you..assuredly not!” ..                                                                                  Hebrews 13:5

Jesus Christ… eternally changeless … always the same.. yesterday, today and forever ..          Hebrews 13:8

The Awesome Love Of God

Anyone who does not love, does not know God .. because God is Love! …. 1st John 4:8

We also read ” For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotton Son ..Jesus.. that whosoever believes on Him .. Jesus .. should not perish, but have everlasting life .. John 3:16

The very first thing we read is that ” God so Loved “.. He loved first..then He gave.

This teaches us that we may be able to give and not love.. but you cannot love and not give!

God’s love and His “free” gift is open to anyone as we read  ” whosoever ” .. that means you and I  and anyone else who would only believe!

Feeling Unworthy Or Unloved?

Most of us seemed to have developed a sense of not being truly loved and cared for, and this can certainly lead to feelings of rejection, lonliness and a life of quiet desperation.

It eventually leads to feel unworthy before God.

 Our past mistakes, failures, and disappointments seem bound to repeat themselves, as we struggle through many sleepless nights .. wondering… 

“What’s the use in praying?

God knows I’m flawed!”     Jesus said in Matthew Chpt 11: vs 28-29                                             

” Come to Me, you who are weary and heavily burdened..by things that provide no peace..and I will give you rest. .refreshing your soul with salvation. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me.. following Me as My disciple, for I Am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest..renewal, blessed quietness..for your soul..for My yoke is easy to bear and My burden is light “

Be Of Good Cheer

It was the same treck every day .. a one mile round trip just to get water for her family…and all she had were two buckets..one of them was begining to rust and had sprung a small leak..so by time she returned home .. one bucket was half full.
This bucket began to feel sad and of not much use anymore.. as it compared itself to the other bucket.
One day on the way back..feeling dejected…God spoke .. ” look down on the ground .. what do you see ?”
As the bucket timidly looked down.. a big smile and a shout of praise echoed  …for along that side of the road were some of the most beautiful flowers that were ever seen…

You are unique and very precious in God’s sight … never compare yourself to anyone else.. there is only one you.. Amen

More Good News

In the New Testament .. the Gospel of John chapter 3 verses 16 & 17 we read

” For God so greatly loved and prized the world ( that includes you and me ) ..that He even gave His one and only begotten Son .. Jesus.. that whosoever  you and me ) believes and trusts in Him..as Saviour, shall not perish, but have Eternal Life. For God did not send His Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.”

God Loved First .. Then He Gave

 God has given us the gift of the present. We need not worry about our past or fret about our future. Here’s something I read:

  ” Worry will not empty tomorrow of its problems..it empties today of its strength and joy ” 

God knows who we are and where we are right now in this very moment.. and He still Loves and cherishes each and every one of us.

God is not mad with you .. He loves you .. call out to Him .. simply and sincerely say..

” God ..I believe You.. I believe that Jesus is Your Only Begotten Son, who came to earth, lived a sinless life was crucified on a cross, shed His blood, took all my sin and sickness in His body so that I would be set free…and on the third day.. you raised Him from the dead. I surrender my life to you right now Lord Jesus ..come into my heart.. thank you for this precious gift “

Romans Chpt:10 verses 9-10 we read:

” If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead.. you will be saved ..For with the heart one believes unto righteousness ( being made right with God)..and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation “

Call on Him …He will hear and answer your prayer. 

” Real Hope is found where real Hope cannot be lost .. in Jesus “.

Brand New Creation

The very instant you prayed and committed your life to Jesus Christ.. God heard you and even the angels in heaven are rejoicing over you.

The truth of God’s Word instantly comes to pass in your Spirit, and you become a new creation.. just as the truth of The Gospel .. the Good News .. tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17.. (Amplified Bible)

” Therefore if anyone (you and me) is in Christ.. that is, grafted in, joined to Him by faith in Him as Savior.. he is a new creature.. reborn and renewed by Holy Spirit.. the old things..the previous moral and spiritual condition..have passed away. Behold, new things have come..because spiritual awakening brings a new life.”

Now ..you are God’s child, and your loving Heavenly Father wants to give you Supernatural power to live this New Life.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

Luke 11:10-13 

” For everyone who asks… receives ; and he who seeks… finds ; and to him who knocks… the door will be opened, for what father among you, if his son or daughter asks for a fish, will he give him a snake instead of a fish?  Or if they asks for an egg, will he give them a scorpion?  If we, then, being evil ..that is, sinful by nature.. know how to give good gifts to our children, how much more will our heavenly Father give The Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”

Pray simply and earnestly..

” Father, I recognize I need Your Power to live this new life.. please fill me with The Holy Spirit..by Faith I receive  Him right now.. thank you. Holy Spirit you are welcome in my life”

Congratulations .. you are now filled with God’s Supernatural Power…

What Now

*  Pray .. talk with God.. He is always listening                                                                                                         

* Read God’s Word ..the Bible.. daily ..we need spiritual food to grow spiritually, just as baby needs nourishment    

* Find a group of Believers ..a church ..that understands the whole truth and practice what  the Bible teaches. This is very important. Other Believers will help you grow in God’s Word, support you as your walk in your new life .. they will encourage and help you grow in God’s Word.

Keep Listening

God is always speaking..His love for us is infinite and He is always near

A young boy watched with amazement and rapt attention as four strong men cut blocks of ice from a frozen pond and stored them in a hut that had no windows.

Upon returning to the shore after they were finished, one man said “my watch..i’ve lost my watch.. it was handed down to me by my great great grandfather”

He was visibly upset and looked everywhere .. no watch.. so they all decided to go back into the hut and search for the watch.

After much turmoil of moving the blocks of ice around.. they finally came out..no watch was found.

..then the little boy said ” can I go take a look ? “

” I got nothing to lose” the man said “knock yourself out”

Into the hut the boy went ..and a few minutes later .. out he came, a big grin on his face and the watch in his hand.

The men stood there speechless and bewildered … ” how did you find it.?”

” I went in” the boy said.. “stood still.. kept very quiet and listened for the ticking “

God is always speaking.. lets be still .. and listen.

” It is safer to be with Jesus anywhere .. than to be without Him anywhere “
